March 1995 began a six week, 24 hours per day, public safety call. Two members at a time took 6-hour shifts for the duration of the call. The call occurred in West Carroll Township when two coal silos were being torn down and they became a collapse hazard and a sight seeing area.

In July 1995, after many delays, Chief Francis M. 'Mickey' Lutch took delivery of a 1995 Spartan 'Gladiator'/Aerial Innovations, 1500 GPM, 300 gallon water tank, Ranger aluminum body and the remount of the 65' Snorkel boom. Total cost for the truck was $224,000 and equipment was $17,000. The truck was equipped in memory of James P. Whalen.
